Ms. Maria Montemayor graduated from Klein Forest High School and completed her Masters in Education at the Lamar University. She appreciates the classical education she was taught at UD, and her fondest memories come from her time spent on UD’s Rome Campus where she got to meet Saint John Paul II. Ms. Montemayor majored in Economics with a minor in Spanish.
Ms. Montemayor went on to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for almost 20 years as a Language Specialist where she worked alongside Federal Agents in the investigation of federal crimes and assisted with translation. She later went on to work for an International Law Firm as a case manager working part time in Chile.
Ms. Montemayor taught Middle School Spanish in Plano, TX for 2.5 years. She was led to teach Spanish by a series of events she likes to call a “God thing.” Likewise, her move to Tomball and finding a position at St. Anne falls in the same “God thing” category for her. She is extremely grateful for the path God led her on so that she can grow in her own spirituality.
Ms. Montemayor has two grown children. Her daughter, Lauren, lives in Colorado. Her son, Ryan, graduated from Texas A&M University and is working in education as an event planner with plans to attend graduate school in the future.
Ms. Montemayor is an avid reader and loves to garden. She also loves antiquing and thrifting - so you might run into her around town looking for little treasures.
